ISRO Receives Major Budget Boost in Union Budget 2025-26

Rs 13,415.20 crore allocated to the Department of Space, up from Rs 13,042.75 crore in 2024-25. 

Increased Funding

– Rs 6,103 crore earmarked for satellite launches, deep-space missions, and infrastructure growth.

Capital Outlay for Research 

Rs 10,230.20 crore allocated for ISRO centres, including VSSC, URSC, and HSFC, with Rs 1,706.8 crore for the Space Applications Centre. 

Support for ISRO Centres 

00% FDI allowed in satellite manufacturing, and duties on rocket/satellite parts removed. 

Public-Private Partnerships Encouraged 

Key projects include Chandrayaan-4, Venus Orbiter Mission, and the Next Generation Launch Vehicle 

Upcoming Major Missions 

Construction of a third launch pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre to boost launch capabilities. 

Expansion of Launch Infrastructure 

Space tech to be integrated into agriculture, disaster management, and urban planning to enhance governanc
