Restrictions being phased out gradually in J&K; Primary schools to reopen today in Kashmir
In Jammu and Kashmir, over 190 primary schools across Kashmir will be reopened today. Jammu and Kashmir Government Spokesperson Rohit Kansal expressed hope to restore full functionality to government offices and as the days progress the government will move forward for the other areas such as developmental works.
The situation remained peaceful across the state on Sunday. Restrictions have been relaxed in 35 police station areas of Kashmir while 17 telephone exchanges out of 96 have been made functional.
More than 50,000 landline phones have been operational now. The services will be restored in other areas in a calibrated manner.
Briefing media persons in Srinagar on Sunday, Jammu and Kashmir Government Spokesperson Rohit Kansal said that government will try to restore landline communication services as soon as possible in the valley.
