Former Finance Minister P Chidambaram, who was arrested on August 21 and sent to CBI custody in connection with the INX Media case, would stay in the CBI remand till Monday. He was produced before the court yesterday after his CBI remand expired.

Earlier in the day, the CBI had sought an extension of Chidambaram’s custodial interrogation by five days in a Delhi court in the INX Media case.

He was produced before Special Judge Ajay Kumar Kuhar on expiry of his 4-day CBI custody.

P Chidambaram has already undergone custodial interrogation for eight days since he was arrested.
