Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has urged the Members of Parliament to begin the Fit India Movement in their respective Constituencies.

He launched the Fit India drive at the Parliament House. Mr Birla said, it is the responsibility of Parliamentarians to inspire the people of their constituencies to remain fit and healthy. He said, there should also be a competition among the Lok Sabha Constituencies on fitness.

Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a vision to make India a developed country and it will become possible when every person of the country will be physically and mentally fit.

Our correspondent reports that Union Ministers including Gajendra Singh Sekhawat, Anurag Thakur and Arjun Ram Meghwal as well as officials and staff of Parliament also participated in the programme.
