It was in 1999 that Keanu Reeves brought Neo to life with sci-fi action film The Matrix. And now two decades later, the 54-year-old actor is returning with the fourth instalment of the film. Keanu has once again collaborated with director Lana Wachowski and original cast member Carrie-Ann Moss for The Matrix 4.

According to a report in The Guardian, Lana Wachowski expressed her excitement over this chance to work with her friends again.

“Many of the ideas Lilly and I explored 20 years ago about our reality are even more relevant now. I’m very happy to have these characters back in my life and grateful for another chance to work with my brilliant friends,” Lana Wachowski said in a statement.

It’s been 16 years since Keanu Reeves was last seen in The Matrix Revolutions. And now fans are excited that their favourite sci-fi franchise is coming up with a new instalment. The film is expected to go in production in 2020.
